USC, UC dominate CESAFI athletics

CEBU, Philippines —  The University of San Carlos and the University of Cebu reigned supreme in separate divisions in the 2017 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc.  athletics event at the Cebu City Sports Center yesterday.

USC ruled the tertiary division while UC dominated the secondary level.

USC claimed 16 gold, nine silver and eight bronze medals, UC placed second with 11-5-6 gold-silver-medal, while University of Southern Philippines Foundation has 3-10-5 medal tally.

 In the secondary level, UC prevented a double championship from USC. UC grabbed 14 gold, 12 silver and 11 bronze medals, while USC had a 14-11-10 medal performance.

Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, for its part,  came up with four golds, nine silvers and nine bronzes . (FREEMAN)
