CEBU, Philippines — The Association of Japan-Philippine English Education (AJPEE) is now in Cebu after its launching and opening ceremony on August 26, 2017 at the City Sports Club, Cebu Business Park.

AJPEE was founded and initiated to enhance and raise the standards of the English language offered and imparted by Filipino teachers to Japanese schools and institutions.

It also aims to contribute and encourage the spread of the sound English appropriate education and the sustainable supply of English teaching resources.

The implementation of the English teaching method shall be conducted in two modes of conduct either through formal (classroom type teaching) or through online English course.

The subjects include education and enlightenment, human resource development, investigation and research, counseling, evaluation and authentication, international exchange and cooperation, and other necessaries to achieve above purposes.

Moreover, through this initiative, the AJPEE envisions to produce more skilled and certified Filipino teachers to conduct and hold classes to impart the correct use of the language to the Japanese schools and institutions.

The committee members in Cebu include its honorary chairman Hajime Ishii, former senator and Diet member for 46 years, who graduated from Stanford University in the United States of America, Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun.
