Provincial government exceeds hospital revenue target

Christell Fatima M. Tudtud - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu provincial government has collected P173.05 million in hospital revenues for this year, exceeding its P168.4 million collection target.

This early, Provincial Treasurer Emmanuel Guial said the hospital revenue collection is already 102 percent complete in just seven months.

Guial said the income generated from 12 district and four provincial hospitals from the months of January to July has proved that the province’s medical services are improving.

“Kun maayo ang atong services moduol man sad ang atong mga constituents for treatment or check-up. Mao man na’y indicator ana niya,” he said.

Guial said the current collection is 30.6 percent higher compared to the same period last year with only P132 million in revenues.

Also, the local tax revenue collection is just P17 million short of this year’s P504 million target. At present, the Capitol has collected P487 million in local taxes.

Guial is optimistic that they will also exceed the target collection for local taxes.
