CCTO to implement rerouting for Ironman 70.3

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) announced that there will be rerouting during the staging of the Ironman 70.3 Philippines Triathlon Race this Sunday.

All vehicles from North District passing along Logarta Street shall turn right to Cabahug Street or go straight to SM Cebu area and up to their point of destination.

Public utility jeepneys from the North Bus Terminal passing along Logarta Street shall turn right to Cabahug Street, to Andres Soriano Avenue and to their point of destination.

PUJs with route nos. 08F, 12G, 12I and 12J going to North Reclamation Area shall go through M.J. Cuenco Avenue, turn  right to General Maxilom Avenue, turn left to J.L. Briones Street, turn left to Juan Luna Avenue, right to Andres Soriano Avenue  to Cabahug Street, then turn left to Logarta Street, then to North Bus Terminal.

Those with route nos. 12G together with 09J and 12E while traversing along Juan Luna Avenue, will turn left to J. de Veyra Street, turn right to General  Maxilom Avenue, turn left to Imus Road, proceed to M.J. Cuenco Avenue to their usual route and then to their point of origin.

PUJs with route nos. 04L and 06H from Ayala going to SM while passing along Juan Luna Avenue shall turn right to J. de Veyra Street, make a U-turn, make a left to Juan Luna Avenue, then back to their usual route in going to their point of origin.

03Q jeepneys shall turn left to Andres Soriano Avenue, to Cabahug Street, right turn to Urot Street, right turn to Kaoshiung Street, left turn to Andres Soriano Avenue, right turn to Juan Luna Avenue, then back to Ayala.

For PUJs with route nos. 22D, 21D, 21A and 22A shall follow the route to M.J. Cuenco Avenue, left turn to Juan Luna Avenue, right turn to A. Soriano Avenue, right turn to General Maxilom Avenue, left turn to Imus New Road, proceed to M. J. Cuenco Avenue, right turn to V. Gullas Street, left turn to P. Burgos Street, left turn to Urdaneta Street, left turn to Lapu-Lapu Street, right turn to Jereza Street, left turn to M.J. Cuenco Avenue, left turn to General Maxilom Avenue, left turn to A. Soriano Avenue to their usual route, then to their point of origin.

Then, for those jeepneys with route nos. 01B, 01C bound for the port area while traversing along T. Padilla Street, shall turn left to M.J. Cuenco Avenue, turn right to General Maxilom Avenue then to D. Gaisano Street, turn left to Commerce Street, make another left to Benedicto Street, turn left to General Maxilom Avenue, left turn to Imus New Road, proceed to M.J. Cuenco Avenue to their usual route, then back to their point of origin.

02B PUJs while passing along Arellano Avenue shall proceed to Pier 3, make a U-turn then back to Arellano Avenue, right turn to Legaspi Extension, right turn to M.J. Cuenco Avenue, left turn to Bonifacio Street back to their usual route and then to their destination.

CCTO said all vehicles bound for the port area shall only have access to Legaspi Extension, then to Arellano Boulevard to enter the gate at Pier 1.

All trucks, vans, trailers and other motor vehicles coming from the south going to SM Cebu or to north area shall follow N. Bacalso Avenue, to P. del Rosario Street, to Imus New Road, then to the North Reclamation Area.

Trucks, vans, trailers and other motor vehicles coming from the North Reclamation Area going to the south are advised to pass along North Road to M.J. Cuenco Avenue, proceed to N. Bacalso Avenue to their point of destination. (FREEMAN)
