Gregg M. Rubio - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Stakeholders of Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Mandaue City have questioned the opening of a driver’s license renewal center (DLRC) at JCenter Mall without consultation.

LTO-7 Acting Chief Alita Pulga made the announcement during the 888 News Forum at Marco Polo Plaza earlier this month the opening of the centers at JCenter Mall, Robinsons Place Fuente in Cebu City and in Island City Mall in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

“We, the ordinary and oppressed without political influence and wealth are convinced that you wanted us to be deprived of decent livelihood, loss of income and investment, and to look like beggars as unemployed,” read the letter dated July 19, 2017 addressed to Pulga.

Led by Dr. Danilo Dionson, an accredited LTO physician, the letter was also signed by more than 50 individuals composed of operators of medical clinic, insurance providers, drug testing and smoke emission testing centers, drivers and operators. (FREEMAN)
