3 dead in shootings

MANILA, Philippines - Three persons were slain in separate shooting incidents in Metro Manila on Tuesday.

In Malabon City, Jeffrey Bercasio, 33, and Joseph Rimorin, 31, were gunned down by unidentified assailants who broke into their house along Commercio street in Barangay Tugatog at around 3:50 a.m.

Bercasio and Rimorin died at the scene.

Police have yet to determine the motive for the killings.

In Manila, a man was gunned down during a brawl in Tondo at past 10 p.m.

Joseph Medina, 21, was rushed to the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival from a gunshot to the chest.

Probers said Medina was engaged in a rumble with a group of men prior to the shooting.
