Former DOLE exec to speak at Gullas Law School
CEBU, Philippines - Former Undersecretary of Labor and Employment Josephus Jimenez will discuss the latest developments in Labor Law, Labor Relations, and employer-employee relationships, including endo, its legality and its abolition.
He will speak before law students of the Gullas Law School at 5 p.m. today at the Inday Pining Teatro at the University of the Visayas Administration Building in its main campus along Colon Street, Cebu City.
Attorney Jimenez, a much sought-after Law professor and Bar reviewer of many law schools in Metro Manila and in Cebu City, is the author of several books on Labor, Arbitration, Collective Bargaining, Strikes and Lock-outs and Labor Relations.
He has attended and lectured in seminars and conferences in Southeast Asia and in the United States.
He is former national president of the Personal Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP), labor attaché in the Middle East and in the US, NLRC labor arbiter and a senior vice president of one of the biggest bottling companies in the country.
Jimenez also writes a daily column in The Freeman expounding his views on local, national and international concerns.
He finished Law in 1974, as an academic scholar at the University of the Visayas. (FREEMAN)
