Construction worker shot inside own house

CEBU, Philippines - A construction worker was shot while sleeping inside his house in Sitio Isla Verde, Barangay San Isidro, Talisay City yesterday dawn.

Senior Police Officer 2 Yvonne Ilustrisimo said that while Reneboy Fausto was sleeping inside his house, an unidentified man barged in and shot him in the stomach.

The suspect immediately fled after shooting.

Fausto was brought to the Talisay City District Hospital and was later transferred to the Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

Ilustrisimo said Fausto is reportedly known in the neighborhood for starting trouble when he's drunk.

Police are still conducting further investigation to identify the suspect.  (FREEMAN)
