4 nabbed in city drug busts
CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested four alleged drug pushers and seized at least 44 packs of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations in Cebu City on Saturday.
The first operation conducted by operatives of the City Intelligence Branch of Cebu City Police Office was at an abandoned house near Apas National High School in sitio San Miguel, Barangay Apas.
Madie Parreño, 28, was placed under arrest after he sold a pack of shabu to one of the operatives who acted as the poseur buyer.
The suspect was frisked and found in his pants’ pocket was a green pouch that contained 12 sachets of suspected shabu.
The P300 buy-bust money and P3,900 cash were also seized from the suspect.
During the buy bust operation, CIB operatives spotted Alexander Macapaz, 21, and Roger Hiba, 28, nearby preparing paraphernalia for sniffing drugs, hence to their arrest.
The suspects are now detained while charges for illegal drugs will be filed against them today.
In Barangay Calamba, the police arrested another alleged drug pusher, Daniel Laurenciana, 23, who was seized with at least 27 small packs shabu.
A cash of P1,010 was also recovered from Laurenciana who was immediately arrested after handing over a shabu pack to a poseur-buyer.
Criminal charges are now also being prepared against the suspect. (FREEMAN)
