DFA: Walang Pinoy na nasaktan sa Ariana Grande concert blast

MANILA, Philippines — Tiniyak ng Department of Foreign Affairs ngayong Martes na walang Pilipino ang nadamay sa pagsabog sa isang concert sa Manchester, United Kingdom.

Sinabi ni Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Robespierre Bolivar na patuloy ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng embahada ng Pilipinas sa United Kingdom.

“Thus far, we have not yet received reports of Filipinos who were injured or who were among the casualties but we're still closely monitoring the situation and really our prayers go to those people and families, who were affected by the incident,” pahayag ni Bolivar sa CNN Philippines.

Nasa 19 katao ang nasawi, habang 50 ang sugatan nang may sumabog sa concert ng American singer Ariana Grande.

Sinabi ng mga awtoridad na isang terrorist attack ang pagsabog na ikinadismaya mismo ni Grande.

Pinaalalahanan naman ni Bolivar ang nasa 200,000 Pilipino na nasa United Kingdom na mag-ingat at magsumbong sa mga awtoridad kung may napansing kahina-hinala.

“We must remain very careful regarding the movement outside our homes,” sabi ni Bolivar.

“We urge Filipinos and friends in the UK, if you see anything suspicious – suspicious package, suspicious movements, please report it to the authorities so that we may prevent further incident from happening,” dagdag niya.
