MANILA, Philippines — The stars of Netflix original series "You" learned new Filipino words on their second day in Manila.
During the an event with the Philippine press last Monday, Penn Badgley and Shay Mitchell were taught to say "Mahal namin kayo" or we love you.
In a special fan event at Greenbelt in Makati City on Tuesday, the two "You" stars were taught to say "Mahal kita" or "I love you," which event host Joyce Pring described as a "more personal" message to their fans.
Badgley plays Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager who falls in love with Guinevere Beck, while Mitchell portrays Peach Salinger, Beck's best friend.
A setup of Mooney's, the bookstore where the lead character works, will be open to the public until Saturday. — Patricia Lourdes Viray
