A tax on danggit?

DANGGIT! The Department of Health is now eyeing imposing taxes on food with a lot of salt. And all over the internet the fans of food like “danggit” (dried fish) are in up arms.

“Alcohol tax-an, sigarilyo tax-an. Karon danggit na sad? Unsa may sunod? Hangin tax-an?” one of them said.

“Para nila unhealthy food kuno, para sa uban wa nay laing pagkaon,” another said.
