THE EAR - The Freeman

MOTORCYCLE. A group of habal-habal operators after seeing on tv three motorcycles involved in highway accidents in which two drivers and two backriders were killed, the operator made the thumbs up sign.

WHY? Why the thumbs up sign? "No, Sir, it's not that we're happy over the misfortune of others," the leader of the group explained to our Ear informer. He said the group made the thumbs up in thanksgiving to God that since the birth of the habal-habal transport in the rural areas -- where the H-H drivers have to cross rivers and climb hills -- no serious accidents like those in the cities where lives were lost have ever happened.
