PLEASE. Many Christian believers have asked this column why many of the prayers in the prayer books of both Catholics and no-Catholics seldom if ever "say please" when asking for favors or anything that amounts to favor from God.
AWKWARD. One student seeking favor from her favorite saint said she always say "please" even if most believers she knows do not do that. "I feel awkward just saying I want this or that without saying please," she said.
