Outrageous, imbecilic

I couldn't believe the utterance from this imbecilic rebel leader. Igor Girkin, surely trying to wash his bloody hands, suggested that the passengers and crew of Malaysian Airlines MH 17 were already dead before the plane crashed, further commenting that the bodies scattered all over the ground were not fresh. One can only assume that he was trying to sell a conspiracy theory that the plane was full of dead bodies and was intentionally provoking the rebels to shoot them down. This is what happens when you try to wriggle yourself out of a sticky, even criminal situation. Much like Cedric Lee's explanation of the events that allegedly led to his "arrest" of Vhong Navarro. They are all monumentally outrageous and imbecilic in content and form. I don't even know what kind of mind would even entertain their explanations.

The whole world is in outrage over this whole affair. From the shooting down of the plane to the handling of the crash site, especially the dead passengers and crew. They were left to rot in the sun for days, some still strapped to their seats. We have pictures of armed men rummaging through personal belongings, one even holding up a stuffed animal toy, obviously belonging to a child. There was no respect for the dead whatsoever. These cretin acted like vultures, guarding their find while others feasted on them.

The rebels limited, even prevented legitimate inspectors and international media to check out the site. An obvious move to prevent them from finding incriminating evidence that the plane was indeed shot down. Some bodies were whisked away to an unknown location. I would guess these were the passengers seated where the missile hit, therefore sustaining unimaginable trauma. Those left were the ones whose bodies were intact.

We can go on and on about how this whole thing was handled by these rebels, or should I say animals. And even as President Vladimir Putin promised he would do everything to ensure a thorough and comprehensive investigation, his promise, if it will even be kept at all, comes too late. The bodies have started to decompose, pieces of the aircraft have already been compromised if not taken away. Crash investigators normally try to reconstruct the aircraft to find telltale signs like impact points, explosion sites and the like. That is no longer possible, thanks to the pro-Russian rebels.

These rebels, along with Russia for backing them, must be condemned in the strongest possible manner. The world is in outrage, but it must translate into action. Whoever is behind this crime, along with those who support them, must be punished, not just for the crime itself, but also for the way it was handled afterwards, all pointing to a cover-up. The rebels are arrogant because "big brother" has their backs. Then "big brother" must be sanctioned. I know it is easier said than done, but it is imperative the world takes a hard stance on this.

Otherwise, impunity will rule.
