Everyone’s pope

He never ceases to amaze us with his simple yet profound acts of love and service for God and His people. Pope Francis is truly one exemplary, courageous, and very humble servant and disciple of the Lord!

We are so happy to have him as our Pope during these difficult times. Let us all continue together to pray, pray, pray for God to continue to support and bless our Pope Francis! Viva il Papa Francis!

Have you seen the video of his kind gesture of stopping and stepping out of his car, again unannounced and unexpected by his security staff, to embrace and bless little Roberta in a reclining wheelchair? You can check out this beautiful act of love that moved so many to shed tears of joy over the simple yet memorable compassionate act of a great leader of our church!  The website ishttp://cnsblog.wordpress.com/2014/06/23/the-pope-stopped-outside-their-house/.

Our Pope Francis has been shown with the sick, with the children, with vulnerable persons wherever, whenever he is given the opportunity to do so by the Lord. World leaders have also been photographed with this very sincere, dedicated public servant. So much to thank God for sharing Pope Francis with us now!

He has made many revolutionary moves, within and inside Vatican. For sure, he will continue to astound us all with his next unexpected but so compassionate moves.

He shares Christ's message of love- urging everyone to really practice loving their neighbors as themselves. And this message of love is for all- for the high and mighty  as well as the lowly, for the wealthy and the poor, for the powerful and the powerless.

You may already have read his messages to the rich as follows:

"The promise was when the glass was full. It would overflow benefitting the poor. But what happens instead, is that when the glass is full, it magically gets bigger- nothing ever comes out for the poor."

He has been critical about the present state of the world economy and has been quoted as follows: "Today everything comes under the laws of competition and survival of the fittest, where the powerful feed upon the powerless. As a consequence, masses of people find themselves excluded and marginalized, without work, without possibilities, without any means of escape."

Can the whole world hear his messages? Can the undeserved rich and abusive hear his voice? We hope his voice and messages reach the hall of Congress and enter the hearts of the abusive and corrupt all over as well.

His latest remarks are considered his strongest yet-  He is quoted as follows: " The Mafia is an example of the "adoration of evil and contempt of the common good… "Those who in their lives follow this path of evil, as Mafiosi do, are not in communion with God. They are excommunicated." After meeting with the family of a murdered 3-year-old child, the Pope "said that the church would use its full force to combat organized crime," as he said, "Our children are asking for it, our young people are asking for it."

The same report noted that "in 1993, Pope John Paul blasted the Sicilian Mafia when he visited the area after a run of murders, and urged Roman Catholics in Sicily to rise up against them. A number of churches were bombed after Pope John Paul's comments, in part because the church had broken an unwritten hands-off rule towards organized crime, experts said at the time. Prayers, prayers, prayers for God to continue to protect our Pope Francis and for God to continue blessing us with this courageous, exemplary disciple , Pope Francis and thank you , thank you, our dear Pope Francis!!!
