CEBU, Philippines - A former inmate of the Mandaue City Jail was arrested by a jail personnel after he was caught in the act of bringing an unlicensed firearm while he was supposed to visit an inmate last Monday afternoon.
Louie Aballe, 35, married, of Barangay Guizo was arrested by JO1 Rogelio Carlo Angob after a Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver with six live ammunitions placed in a sling bag was seized from his possession during a body inspection.
Six other live ammunitions placed in a coin purse were also seized from him.
JOI Blanche Aliño, spokesperson of the jail, said that the suspect who was just recently discharged from the said jail was supposed to visit Antonio Ynoc, a fellow cellmate who was charged for possession of illegal drugs.
Aliño said that they immediately coordinated with the Opao Police Station where the suspect was turned over to, pending the filing of an illegal possession of firearms and ammunition case against him. (FREEMAN)
