CEBU, Philippines - A 56-year-old man residing in sitio Didos, barangay Kubao, Talisay City was taken to hospital Maundy Thursday for a gunshot wound on his back.
Germiniano Cañeda was taken to the Talisay City District Hospital and later on transferred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
His assailant was identified as “Minmin†cannot be found.
Police said Cañeda and “Minmin†were seen arguing, and later witnesses claimed “Minmin†striking Cañeda in the face and then shooting him.
On other hand, a 16-year-old boy is detained at the Talisay City Police Station for possession of a loaded .357 caliber revolver yesterday dawn at a beach resort in barangay Poblacion, Talisay.
A concerned citizen tipped off the Talisay City Police Station about an armed person at the resort.
PO1 Stephen Sefuesca and PO1 Edwin Campomanes with Poblacion tanod Ruel Tabelon caught the boy with a gun in his possession. (FREEMAN)
