Cebu jins shine in Bacolod taekwondo

CEBU, Philippines — Cebuano jins strut their wares well in the  Visayas Cluster Taekwondo Championships harvesting 16 gold, eight silver and seven bronze medals at VMA Global College in Bacolod City the other night.

Sugbo Taekwondo under coach Michael and Frauline Realista has different chapters, but those who delivered medals were mostly from the University of Cebu.

The gold medalists were Weence Jacob Rama, Emmanuel Seanrick and Allysa Marie Garces, Rena Jean Tigmo, John Rolly Cordova, Kristine Joy Villacarlos, Gabriell Nino Tenchavez, Mea Ann Villaver, Franzien Gante, Sheila Marie and Pete Marielline Gasillos, Ruther Carl Cuico, Christ Michael Daniot, Earl Gabrielle Ubay, Maria Jamilah Navales, and Gian Carlo Geronimo.

The silvers, on the other hand, were from Martha dela Victoria, Alea Sedullo, Mitch Alizee Enriquez, Kyle Anding, Keimverly Aro, Rahvane Taghoy, Gladys Geraldizo, and Harvey Borja.

Earlier, the likes of Fiona Sedullo, Althea and Abegail Rosel, Vincent Bacalso, Jonathan Macklin,  Rhisha Mae Mansueto, and Rhea Jane Patiluna also handed to Sugbo Taekwondo squad a bronze each.

Meanwhile, Toledo City taekwondo team of coach Lorena Genovesa also made their presence well despite only fielding a very lean team. They were able to collect four golds, four silvers and two bronzes. (FREEMAN)
