Cebuano ‘Ironkids’ to invade Davao

CEBU, Philippines — A bunch of young Cebuano triathletes will be seeing action in the maiden Alaska Ironkids in Davao City today.

This is the first time that Davao will be hosting a leg in this exciting battle for the future triathlon stars.

Majority of the Cebuano entries come from the Talisay Luigi Triathlon Group of coach Rolando Remolino with 13 led Moira Frances Erediano and  Nicole Marie del Rosario.

Remolino’s other bets are Mathew Justine Hermosa, Jeanna Mariel and Jason Christopher Canete, Kenchie Luke Cabando, Dave Zachary Fernandez, Brent Diesmo, Euwon and Tenchie Semilla, Earol and Rheciel Belonguil and Fresh Lorraine Seguerra.

The Omega Junior Team,on the other hand, is left with two entrants in Ivan Delica and Marielle Estreba.

Top Cebuano junior triathletes in Kim Remolino and Karen Manayon, who belong to TLTG and Omega, respectively, are no longer allowed to compete being over 15 years old already.

 The Davao leg is the first of the only two Alaska Ironkids scheduled by Sunrise Events this year.

 The second and final leg is set for August 4 in Lapu-Lapu City.
