Mom, daughter shine in Minglanilla duathlon

CEBU, Philippines — Pamella Jane Ruiz and her mother Lucille zoomed to a 1-2 finish in the women’s open division of the Minglanilla Duathlon Challenge-Leg 3 in  Manduang, Minglanilla the other day.

Pamella took the top spot with the time of two hours, seven minutes and 16 seconds.

Lucille Ruiz crossed the finish line seven minutes later for second place, while Marivic Mari came out third with a 2:29:54 clocking.

Rolly Cabaluna, on the other hand, lorded it over the masters division with the time of 1:36:35 followed by Poloy Mimordo (1:39:24) and Redan Cantilla (1:52:42).

The millenials and the oldies also had fun with Slieping Ombay winning the millenials and Emmanuel Gopo ruling the golden class.

Ombay clocked in 1:31:20 to best Adrian Baguio (1:33:53) and Justice Sousa (1:34:40), while Gopo timed 2:00:56, enough to edge Renaldo Mateo (2:05:04) and Josephus Lucero (2:13:19). (FREEMAN)
