9th PAL Ladies Interclub CCC-A guns for crown

CEBU, Philippines - Rejuvenated after a day’s rest Friday, Cebu Country Club team A guns for the title of the 9th Philippine Airlines  Ladies Interclub Saturday at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Pardo, Cebu City.   

Defending champion Manila Southwoods Masters hopes to give the Cebuanas a run for their money while completing the championship flights would be players from Del Monte Golf Club of Bukidnon and those from the host club.

CCC-A fired a 281 points Thursday to post a seven-point lead against Manila Southwoods Masters.

Del Monte is a far third with 249 while Alta Vista rounds up the top four with 228 points in the eight-to-play, six-to-count format using the Molave Points System.

The scoring format awards seven points for a double-eagle, six for an ace, five for eagle, four for birdie, three for par, two for bogey, and one for double-bogey.

Lois Kaye ‘LK’ Go, 14, who shot one-over-par 53 points on Thursday is once again expected to lead the CCC-A squad.  Others expected to deliver are veteran Mary Kim Hong and 13-year-old Junia Gabasa.  Other members of the team are skipper Catrina Martinez, Stephanie Olea,     Crystal Superal, and sisters Hannah and Jyra Wong.

Alta Vista will bank on reigning ladies club champion Ericka Lim, 17, and 18-year-old twins Mikylah and Gabrielle Crystal.  Other members of the team are 11-year-old Weifang Gao, Choi Yiu Hwa, Sol Pasion, and skipper Marina Kaufmann.
