Pag-IBIG fund awards top developers and employers in the Visayas

CEBU, Philippines — The Home Mutual Development Fund (Pag-IBIG) recently recognized top developers and employers in the Visayas during the 2023 Stakeholders' Accomplishment Report (StAR) held in Cebu City on Friday, May 3, 2024.

The Pag-IBIG StAR is held by the agency to apprise stakeholders from the country’s major regions of its accomplishments, and recognize them for their outstanding contributions.

The Pag-IBIG Star Awardees in the Visayas for 2023 for top Employers in the government sector are Eastern Visayas Medical Center, Provincial Government of Leyte, and Western Visayas Medical Center.

Visayas top employers for the private sector are Du Ek Sam, Inc., Amazon Operations Services Philippines, Inc., and Carmen Copper Corporation.

In the Home Lending Operations Cluster Awards, a special award as top collection agency was given to S.P. Madrid & Associates; the highest in number of units taken was awarded to 8990 Group of Companies; best in conversion award to Johndorf Ventures Corporation; and Performing Loans Ratio to Sunberry Homes, Inc.

Further, the top ten developers in the Visayas are 8990 Group of Companies, Saekyung Realty Corporation, Deo Homes and Property Development Inc., Johndorf Ventures Corporation, Bacolod South Homes Corporation, Cebu Landmasters, Inc., 77 Living Spaces, Inc., Rdak Land, Inc., and Sunberry Homes, Inc.

The event also saw Pag-IBIG Fund and its stakeholders renew their “pledge to integrity, in line with their shared effort to conduct all transactions with utmost professionalism and integrity towards achieving the highest tenets of public service.”

Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene Acosta said that through the awarding ceremony, they also aim to update its members the current status of its finances, housing loans, multi-purpose loans, and other services it implemented in the previous year.

Acosta also reported that in 2023, Pag-IBIG had an active membership of 15.93 million with P89.26 billion members savings.

Pag-Ibig was also able to release P126.04 billion in housing loan to a total of 96,848 members with new or better homes; ?59.32 billion short term releases, and 2,654,109 members helped with immediate financial needs.

Acosta added that in 2023, Pag-IBIG fund had a net income of P49.79 billion, which is higher by 12 percent as compared to its net income in 2022. Its total assets in 2023 was pegged at P925.61 billion which was higher by 12 percent as compared to its total assets in 2022. — (FREEMAN)
