Talisay aims to hit P250 million from business renewals

Gabriel C. Bonjoc - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — The Talisay City Government is targeting to collect P250 million from the business permit renewals this year.

In fact, even if the business permit renewal has already ended last January 20, the one-stop-shop mounted for this purpose is still accepting transactions from the public.

But the head of the business permit and licensing office clarified that the extension was only done for payments.

Those who have not done the assessment and have not submitted their requirements last January 20 would already need to pay a penalty.

At present, the city has already collected P100 million from business permit renewals.

The one-stop-shop will end on January 31.

They would also accept first-time registration of businesses. — GAN (FREEMAN)
