Village to offer vehicle disinfection for free

CEBU, Philippines — Barangay San Nicolas Proper in Cebu City will soon perform disinfection procedures on vehicles, which may carry virus and infectious diseases, for free.

Village chief Clifford Jude Ninal said the barangay has already purchased one portable disinfectant fogging machine.

But the machine is yet to be delivered to the barangay.

With the reopening of Cebu City’s economy, he said, more people are reporting for work and COVID-19 transmission is also possible.

Vehicle disinfection, he said, might help deter the further spread of the virus.

“The machine can be used for disinfecting vehicles and public areas. Karong panahuna, mas maayo safe ta sa virus. Kani (machine) para iwas COVID-19,” he said.

To avail of the free service, barangay residents just need to bring their vehicles to the barangay for disinfection,” he said.
