CEBU, Philippines — Cebu City registered more recoveries from the coronavirus than new infections yesterday.
Cebu City Health Department recorded 165 recoveries, bringing the tally to 1,160 or 48.15 percent.
Bulk of the number of recoveries came from Barangay Mambaling at 139.
Other recoveries were from Barangay Sawang Calero, 12; Barangay Labangon, five; and Barangay Pasil, five.
Also, one each from Barangays Guadalupe, Suba, and Ermita.
On the other hand, 89 new COVID-19 cases were recorded yesterday.
The number is broken down into 23 from Barangay Ermita, 15 from Barangay Tejero, nine from Barangay Mabolo, eight from Barangay Calamba, seven from Barangay Duljo Fatima, five from Barangay Mambaling, five from Barangay Sambag 2, three from Barangay Pasil, two from Barangay Labangon and two from Barangay Suba.
Also, one new case was recorded each from Barangays Basak Pardo, Bulacao, Camputhaw, Capitol Site, Carreta, Sawang Calero, Kinasangan-an, Lahug, Punta, and Sambag 1.
This brings the total number of cases in the city to 2,408. Of this, 1,129 are active cases. KQD (FREEMAN)
