CEBU, Philippines — More than P500,000 worth of sales of a convenience store of a gasoline station in Barangay Tunghaan, Minglanilla, Cebu was carted away by three men.

Minglanilla Police Station Chief Police Major William Homoc confirmed that they received the robbery incident.

Police Senior Master Sergeant Dante Vallente said three men on board a motorcycle suddenly stopped in front of security guard Avilino Villarin, 57, a resident of Langtad, Naga City.

Vallente added that three men, one of them also wearing a security guard uniform, disembarked.  The one wearing the security guard uniform tied Villarin using a cable wire and took the victim’s service firearm.

The two other men immediately went inside the convenience store and took the shop’s sales for two weeks.

The police said they are also looking at the possibility of an inside job, since the perpetrators reportedly knew where the cash was kept.

The authorities also said they would be checking the establishment’s closed circuit television (CCTV) footage to determine the identity of the suspects.  GAN (FREEMAN)
