PRO-7 wants thorough probe into CEBECO heist

CEBU, Philippines - The Police Regional Office-7 has ordered a thorough investigation into the robbery of the satellite office of Cebu Electric Cooperative II in Tabogon, Cebu last Saturday.

Senior Superintendent Rey Lyndon Lawas, chief of the Regional Directorial Staff, also wants financial institutions and other vital establishments to be alerted following the incident.

“This will form part of our lessons learned not only of the police but as well as with other financial institutions,” said Lawas.

Lawas said that the PRO-7 will immediately coordinate with the various financial institutions as soon as the complete report about the incident is in.

“These concerned financial institutions have their own responsibility also to secure themselves,” he said.

“So we would like to know how it happened so that we can make some corrections and adjustment in coordination with the financial institutions as far as their security is concerned,” Lawas added.
