It seems that award-winning actor Christian Bables is fast becoming a favorite actor of The Idea First Company, the outfit behind critically-acclaimed movies “Die Beautiful,” “Born Beautiful” and “Big Night.”

Christian has been tapped to play the lead in The Idea First Company’s new offering titled “Mahal Kita, Beksman” which also stars Keempee de Leon and Katya Santos.

The actor is very lucky whenever he does movies with The Idea First Company. The movies are not only critically-acclaimed, but these also give him a number of awards.

Last year, he won as Best Actor at the Metro Manila Film Festival for “Big Night.” To be fair to Christian, for every movie that he does, there is always an improvement in his acting. He is always better in his new movie. He makes use of his God-given talent in a positive way.

“Mahal Kita, Beksman” was written by Fatrick Tabada who also wrote “Patay na Si Hesus” and “Born Beautiful.”

Award-winning actor Carlos Dala is no longer pursuing his dream to be a doctor.

At the story conference of the new Jay Altarejos film titled “Pamilya Sa Dilim”, the actor said his parents support his decision to make a career in acting.

He said he is more inclined to be an actor than enroll in medical school as originally planned. “I think I can do things better as an actor,” he shared.

Carlos is a mainstay of the GMA afternoon series “A Fake Life” and he considers it a great honor to be part of a good show. “Being part of the show is a great learning experience for me plus I get to work with some of the best actors like Sid Lucero and Ariel Rivera.”

He said working in an afternoon show is an entirely different experience, more so that it’s produced by a major network. “I am so pleased to be working with an excellent cast and a good director,” he said.

It was in the indie film titled “1-2-3 (Gasping for Air)” where his acting mettle was first noticed. The movie was the opening film of Cinemalaya in 2016.

Now he is excited to work with Allen Dizon and Laurice Guillen in “Pamilya sa Dilim” produced by Mr. Art Cruz of ADCC Productions.

In the film, Carlos is playing the role of a teenager who became a victim of EJK (extra judicial killings). He wants to do his own character sketch for the role.

Also in the cast of “Pamilya sa Dilim” are Therese Malvar and Barbara Miguel who were likewise Carlos’ costars in “1-2-3 (Gasping for Air).” This new film written and directed by Altarejos is their reunion movie after six years.

She had been doing mostly directorial work for GMA where she gets to work with several young talents.

“I enjoy working with a young cast because I also learn a lot from them,” said the director of “Salome” and “Tanging Yaman.”

She is likewise looking forward to doing “Pamilya sa Dilim” because of the beautiful script written by Altarejos.

She is not closing her doors in directing a movie and if offered a good script, she will definitely go back to filmmaking.
