CEBU, Philippines — With a new-born son in his household, Billy Crawford said he’s finally living out the famous line of his star-maker mentor, the late German “Kuya Germs” Moreno. “Parang tinupad ko na yung pangarap ni Kuya Germs na ‘Walang Tulugan,’ so dire-diretso na akong walang tulog,” the “Masked Singer Pilipinas” and “Lunch Out Loud” host jested in a digital conference when asked how life has changed since he and wife Coleen Garcia welcomed their firstborn, Amari Jaden, in September.
Despite losing sleep to take turns in caring for their baby, Billy said he has never been more motivated to work. “I go to work thinking that I’m doing it for my son. Hindi rin nawawala yung nerves because of the pandemic. But it’s worth all the blood, sweat and tears you put in your job at the end of the day when you see kumakain, umiiyak yung anak mo, he’s healthy, yung asawa mo nandoon…ang sarap ng pakiramdam. Tanggal yung pagod. So it’s even better to work now. I’m trying to work harder than I ever did in my entire life,” he said.
