The Boracay he knew

THE EAR - The Freeman

THE OTHER SIDE. An EAR source who has visited Boracay several times said one mistake people in Boracay made was to market only the beaches.

The first time he went there it seemed as if part of the island was still jungle. He remembered a small mangrove swamp not far inland, there was also a forest with really old, huge trees, with trunks as wide as a dining table. There was also a cave where huge bats lived.

"If ila pa to gi-promote as well as they promoted watersports, it's possible Boracay wouldn't be as dirty as it is now," he told The EAR.
