Landers to launch delivery service in Cebu

CEBU, Philippines —  Membership superstore Landers announced to officially launch its delivery service in Cebu before the end of the first semester this year.

Two years after it opened its first out-of-Luzon store in Cebu, the Filipino concept supermarket is taking its expansion route to the online and delivery platforms, noting the rising younger membership-base.

In an interview with Pinky Angodung, Landers Superstore marketing director, she said the Cebu branch will have its delivery service to aid its growing online shopping customers.

Landers’ first delivery service was launched in Manila last March.

Initially, it is offered free-of-charge.

Once introduced in Cebu, member shoppers can also take advantage of the free delivery service, at least for the first few months.

The company also noted that membership shopping concept is successfully embraced by Cebuanos, particularly the younger batch like young mothers and the millennials.

Aside from surge of member shoppers from the younger bunch, Cebu branch’s good performance is also fuelled by good number of institutional and corporate clients including those from the neighboring provinces.

In fact, the store has installed a volume shopping manager to manage the growing bulk orders.

Landers, is the second membership superstore in Cebu. It is operating in a 8,000 square meter shopping floor, located at 23 Minore Park along Cardinal Rosales Avenue corner Pope John Paul II Avenue.

It also features dining choices which include a café named Doppio, a bakery called Dough & Co., and a diner named after a train station, Landers Central.
