Propelled by a transverse 4-cylinder, 16-valve engine, the S40 rates one of the highest power and torque outputs in its class. This reliable, Swedish-made power plant produces 136 bhp at 5,800 rpm and 190 Nm at mid-range engine speed. Top speed for the S40 is 200 km/h.
