                    [Summary] => Employees of the National Bureau of Investigation have asked  President Arroyo to name officer-in-charge Nestor Mantaring as  the bureau’s new director.


NBI employees said it was time to return the agency’s helm to an "insider" after the sudden death of former director Reynaldo Wycoco last month.


The NBI is the country’s premiere investigating body and it does not need former generals with "dubious reputations" to lead it, they added.
