The recent announcement of nominations at the 46th Grammy awards had R&B and hip-hop acts dominating the list. In fact, the year’s topnotchers are Beyonce, Jay-Z, Outkast and the Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams, who all tied with six nominations each. Rock acts Evanescence and the late Warren Zevon got five each but Missy Elliott, Eminem, 50 Cent, the Neptunes’ Chad Hugo, Ricky Skaggs, Justin Timberlake and Luther Vandross also did the same.
