                    [Summary] =>

MANILA, Philippines - Today at 5:15 p.m., Reporter’s Notebook rounds up the biggest issues, controversies and tragedies the GMA News and Public Affairs show probed this year.

The Kentex fire, M/V Kim Nirvana disaster and the Nepal earthquake were just some of the tragedies that tested the faith of Filipinos this 2015. The deplorable aftermath of some of these tragedies was personally witnessed by hosts Jiggy Manicad and Maki Pulido.

Reporter’s Notebook also focused on the violence and conflict that shook the southern part of the Philippines, such as the death of the 44 PNP-Special Action Force (SAF 44) members in Mamasapano, Maguindanao and the alleged killing of lumads in Mindanao.

[Summary] => Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners? – Luke 13:2

A husband and wife were killed when their car was struck by a drunk driver. Why did this happen? They were good people, active in their church, and dearly loved. They were in no way at fault, and we can’t blame God for the other driver getting drunk.

Some people would blame the devil. Yet we must recognize the fact that an intoxicated driver who loses control of his car is likely to kill someone.
