                    [Title] => After the stroke
                    [Summary] => This morning I awoke at 6:30 a.m. and did the typical thing. I sat down to write my Morning Pages. It began with, "I am alive!" Every morning that is how I feel – grateful to be alive. You see, I have had a stroke and while I am very well-recovered and should no longer be writing about the stroke – or so I am told repeatedly – for me, it is an important thing. It is a marker of tremendous change. Since the change happened just like that and it took me two years to recover, it is only now that the impact of my stroke can be reviewed without any uneasiness.
