                    [Summary] => The umbrella organization of truckers’ groups has asked the national government to give trucks the same toll rate subsidy enjoyed by passenger buses using the South Luzon Tollway (SLT) and the Skyway.


"The toll hike was for the debt servicing of the Skyway but trucks are not even allowed to use the elevated portion so why make us pay higher toll rates?" asked Nilo Gajo, vice president for internal affairs of the Confederation of Truckers’ Association of the Philippines (CTAP).

                    [Summary] => Four people were injured after a passenger bus lost its brakes at the height of yesterday’s downpour and plowed into a sign post along the South Luzon Tollway (SLT).


The victim included the driver and three of his passengers, said Manny Prades, radio operator of the Philippine National Construction Co. (PNCC). However, their names were not immediately available but they were rushed to the South Superhighway Medical Center for treatment, Prades added.
