                    [Summary] => BAGHDAD (AFP) — The Iraqi government is doing everything possible to secure the release of four kidnapped lorry drivers from the Philippines, Bulgaria and Egypt, the foreign minister said yesterday, urging all countries to resist hostage-takers’ demands to abandon Iraq. 


Hoshyar Zebari said he met the Philippines’ special envoy to Iraq earlier in the day and spoke to Bulgaria’s foreign minister on Friday about the unfolding drama. 


Zebari also warned governments against bowing to the demands of the kidnappers as this would only fuel the situation.
