                    [Summary] => The barangay council of Lawaan I of Talisay City is opposed to the establishment of a memorial park in their barangay following complaints filed by constituents.


Last February 19, the barangay Lawaan I council, during its regular session, approved unanimously a resolution "opposing the proposed Pope John Paul II Memorial Park-Garden of Peace."


The decision of the council was based on the complaints of hundreds of residents in sitio Molila, who during the first public hearing expressed opposition to the said proposal.
