                    [Summary] => CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police have filed charges of robbery and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition against five men who held six people hostage during a failed heist at a Western Union branch in Barangay Dau, Mabalacat town last Friday. 


Charged in the San Fernando City prosecutor’s office were Randy Ledason, 29; Nelio Pawelas, 27; Wilfredo Chavenia, 39; Jaymar Reyes, 33; and Abe Nungay, 32.

                    [Summary] => CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Five robbers were arrested during a four-hour hostage taking incident at the Western Union Money Transfer branch in Barangay Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga, yesterday.


Chief Superintendent Ismael Rafanan, Central Luzon police director, said the eight robbers entered the branch at about 1 p.m. yesterday and disarmed the lone security guard.


Rafanan said the suspects were well dressed and pretended to be customers.


Seven of the suspects entered the establisment while the others  took the shotgun of the security guard at gunpoint.
