KC's inconsolable mother Gina, although at times doubting her will to live, is carrying on the wings of her faith and her plans for a KC de Venecia Foundation to benefit firefighters' children.

Many rue the pact that KC still had a full life ahead of her. But, as the memorial sentiments of her family and friends show, it was KC's life that showed best how she would like to be remembered: with joy.
