                    [Summary] => I was born with an allergy to alcohol.
	Yup, as distressing as that always sounded to my more booze-loving friends I kind of got used to it over the years. Whenever there were parties or we’d hit the town I would keep the alcohol at bay. Over the years (occasionally with the help of Claritin) I slowly and surely began to overcome the allergy. My one drink a night rule slowly inched its way up to two and occasionally even three.

                    [Title] => Exports times four
                    [Summary] => If you are wondering about the volume of imported foodstuff available in the country, don’t lose any sleep over it. Facts show that the Philippines is one of the biggest export markets of Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States. It is because of this that the quartet mounted "World’s Finest Foods" at the Hotel InterContinental in Makati early this month. It was, to quote one of the organizers, a "show of confidence in the Philippines" and, we might add, to introduce to the locals new products, new technology and the abundance of supply.

I use the world "oddly" because the only certain thing I know about food is that it is eaten, and further, nobody regards me a wine connoisseur just because I can distinguish white wine from red.

In any case, I listened with considerable interest to the Ambassadors of NZ (Terrence Baker), Canada (Robert Collette), Australia (Ruth Pearce) and the US Deputy Chief of Mission (Joseph Mussomeli) who jointly affirmed that their countries are four of our largest food suppliers.
