For my column today I will take a look back in time, because as we get so occupied with all the parties brought by the Christmas fever, we sometimes tend to forget the things that really count.

Magsaysay, along with 27 others, died in a plane crash on the slopes of Mt. Manunggal in Cebu on a flight back to Manila.

The commemorative rites will start with a wreath-laying at 7 a.m. at the late president’s tomb at the North Cemetery, followed by a Mass to be officiated by Fr. Dennis Meim, SDB.
