[Title] => Paris on the mind
[Summary] =>
Although he studied to be an artist, Juan Caguicla started his career as a photographer with a put-down by one of his instructors at the UP College of Fine Arts. Apparently the said teacher just had had enough of Caguiclas questions and occasional snide remarks, and just scoffed at his pupils supposed talents at taking pictures. Its a typical tale. Today, Caguicla is one of the countrys most renowned photographers with numerous and diverse credits to his name.

[Title] => The sight and fury
[Summary] => Juan Caguicla doesnt like to be called an artist. Nothing big about it though, he stresses. Its just that the term applies to many things the young photographer claims he has no connection with, too many weighty allusions and obscure meanings. Despite having long hair up to his waist, body tattoos and general disdain written perpetually over his face, he still wont have any of it. "I take pictures," he says flatly. "Thats it."
