Galanza: Jaja makes things easy

MANILA, Philippines —  Smooth and easy.

That was how Creamline star Jema Galanza described having veteran internationalist Sachi Minowa on their side.

“Jaja is easy to be with inside the court, we’re learning so much from her,” Galanza said of Minowa after the Cool Smashers’ straight-set victory over Ho Chi Minh Volleyball Federation in the PVL Invitational last Tuesday.

The instant chemistry showed. The 11-time league champions are now the only unbeaten team in the short but competitive six-team conference.

And the proud franchise will have a chance to make it three in a row and inch closer to clinching the first slot in the championship round when it clashes with an unpredictable Farm Fresh (1-1) at 1:30 p.m.

The top two teams after the single-round robin eliminations will battle for the crown in a one-game finale.

Galanza added that they appreciate Minowa’s effort to adjust to their time-tested, championship-winning system.

“She is also adjusting to the system and we thank Jaja for that,” she said.

Also scheduled today is PLDT (1-1) versus HVF (0-2) at 4 p.m., followed by Est Cola (1-1) against Nxled (1-1) at 6:30 p.m.
