Biado in title hunt

MANILA, Philippines — Carlo Biado had almost won it all in pool.

From being a two-time world nine-ball king to a world 10-ball champion and a US Open titlist to emerging as a multiple South Asian Games gold medalist, the Filipino billiards wizard has never ceased to amaze.

He could be adding another trophy to his vast collection after zooming to the men’s open finals of the Predator PBC International Indonesia Open 10-Ball in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Biado downed countryman Bernie Regalario, 10-6, in their semi final duel to barge into the finals for a shot at the top purse worth P25,000, or a cool P1.5 million.

Biado is already assured of $12,000, or P738,000 just for making it that far.
