MANILA, Philippines — Seven straight wins for the San Miguel Beermen.

San Miguel kept its hot streak alive, beating the Blackwater Bossing to a pulp, 116-92, in their PBA Philippine Cup clash Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Don Trollano provided the spark off the bench with 22 points and four rebounds for the winning squad, while CJ Perez had 16 markers. Rodney Brondial backstopped with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

San Miguel started off hot, turning a 24-18 second quarter lead to a 44-25 advantage in the same period.

The Bossing were able to slice the deficit to 10, 71-81, heading to the final frame after a triple by James Una.

But the Beermen found a higher gear in the fourth quarter, seeing their lead balloon to as much as 24 points against the Dalph Panopio-less Bossing side.

Jericho Cruz had 12 points off the bench, while June Mar Fajardo had a double-double of 11 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.

Una paced Blackwater with 19 points and 12 rebounds while Bradwyn Guinto had 16 for the losing side. Jed Mendoza scored 15.

The Beermen, who started the conference with a 0-2 slate, now rose to 7-2 while sending the also-ran Blackwater to its ninth straight defeat to 1-9.
