2026 Batang Pinoy in Bacolod

GENERAL SANTOS CITY, Philippines — For the third time, Bacolod City will serve as host of the Batang Pinoy next year after inheriting the torch from this tuna capital at the close of the Games yesterday at the Antonio C. Acharon Sports Complex here.

It will be homecoming of sorts in the City of Smiles, which staged the meet’s first edition in 1999 before hosting in 2001 as the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) brings the meet back to the Visayas after Luzon (Palawan 2024) and Mindanao (GenSan 2025).

Bacolod will be the first Visayan city to host BP since Cebu in 2015, bracing for a tall order of besting GenSan in hosting the biggest edition in history, with almost 25,000 delegates from 188 Local Government Units (LGUs).
