MANILA, Philippines — Seasoned golfer BJ Cadayong ruled the inaugural Alviera Longest Drive Championship over a bevy of top pro and amateur swingers at the Alviera Driving Range in Porac, Pampanga over the weekend.

Cadayong unloaded 339 yards in the final round to reign supreme in the Elite Drivers’ division and claim the historic title over fellow pro and golf coach Brent Sumampong with 319 yards.

He came only 11 yards short of covering the full distance of 350 yards by Alviera, which boasts the longest driving range in the Philippines since its establishment last December.

Completing the podium was Seo Hun Choi with 311 yards as Alviera turned another page in its sports program through golf this time around.

“Alviera is one of our biggest estates and our premier estate in Central Luzon. This is just the start as we develop the estate. We are just halfway into our sports program to help the golfing community here,” said Christine Enriquez-Yabao, Ayala Land marketing lead for Central Luzon.
